Stephen is a GIS Analyst with over 16 years’ experience in Geographic Information Systems. He has extensive GIS experience in infrastructure, town planning and the development of analytical software to utilise GIS data. Stephen has worked in Local Government for over 9 years, providing him with an excellent understanding and appreciation of the internal processes and systems that must be considered. An area of particular professional expertise and interest lies in determining various ways in which the use of Geographic Information Systems and other computer technologies can be incorporated into the development process. There is a very important role to be played by these systems in the everyday management of urban planning and decision-making processes that is largely under-utilised / incorrectly implemented by many within the industry.
