Integran was engaged by the former Queensland Water Commission (QWC) to review the infrastructure planning and delivery impacts flowing from the proposed Water Reform for water supply and sewerage in South East Queensland (SEQ). In this capacity Integran project managed, consulted, prepared documents and policy positions for the commission with an understanding of existing local government processes in respect of development assessment and infrastructure charging for water supply and sewerage services.Of importance was the identification, planning, design, delivery and operational tasks which would be affected during the transitional arrangements and ultimate transfer of assets and responsibilities from the Council to the new Water Entities. The advice provided helped shape and rationalise the State’s and the commission’s time frames, understandings and expectations.

As part of this commission, Integran was also responsible for the review and update of Statutory Guidelines and the preparation of supporting documentation including ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ and Facts Sheets to help communicate the reform changes and ensure the changes were integrated and implemented ‘on the ground’.

Deliverables:

  • Discussion Papers;
  • Presentations and workshops;
  • Input to legislative reform;
  • Amendments to Statutory Guidelines; and
  • Supporting marketing material including fact sheets and frequently asked questions.

“Integran’s expertise and responsive approach delivered quality documents, data and presentations that were easy to understand, apply and update. Integran’s approach has provided balance, rigour and accuracy to our projects”
